Hello! My name is Sandy Chow, Director of My Little Sunshine Child Care. I was a social worker, graduated at San Francisco State University, Class of 2001. I'm a stay-home mom to my 6 years old daughter and 5 month old son. I'm a family child care provider for more than 4 years. As a LICENSED FAMILY CHILD CARE PROVIDER, my philosophy to care for children is understanding that each child is an unique individual. Children learn through play. Children are provided with activities to develop his/her individual learning in cognitive, creative, emotional, social, physical and problem solving skills. There are excellent equipment, materials and toys that are age appropriate for infants, toddlers and preschool ages to enhance individual growth. Children will experience independence, giving and receiving the sense of fun, loving, nurturing care through interaction with the experienced staff in the facility.

Because we value one-to-one attention for each child, we have a low adult-child ratio 1:4. We have two full time assistants, whose CPR/First Aid certified. In addition to our excellent care for the children, we believe that parent involvements are extremely important for children's learning development. Working together with the parents to provide support to children's needs is part of what we do on a daily basis to ensure children grow up to be healthy, strong and wise. Furthermore, I strive for my professional growth development by continue my education in Child Development at City College of San Francisco, attending weekend and night classes. In addition, I attend child care related training, workshops, conferences and meetings to enhance my knowledge and obtain up-to-date information in the field. In the child car e community, I'm an active volunteer. I'm a Leader of Visitacion Valley Family Child Care Providers' Network. I can be a resource and referral to parents and providers. I'm a member of the Family Child Care Association of SF and the Child Care Providers United union. I'm actively involved in meetings, events and activities for these organizations. In addition, I'm part of the SF CARES program, a community-based program designed to support high quality care and education for children and their families in SF. When you choose My Little Sunshine Child Care, your child will be in good reliable care.
